Horror

During the COVID 19 lockdown we took a couple of weeks out to work on something a little different from our usual projects. Being huge fans of the horror genre, this was our opportunity to get spooky with a couple of new animations.

The first animation (Night Crawler) focused on taking a simple sheet and draping it over a character using cloth simulation tools, to create something really creepy and very much inspired by 80’s classics such as ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’.

Once we’d got the horror bug there was no stopping us, and we went on to create our second project ‘The Asylum’; where a legless and deranged patient crawls down a corridor leaving a trail of blood behind her.

After sharing the clip on social media we were approached by the amazingly talented sound designer Nikita Khotulev, who asked to produce some sound for the clip. Nikita did an amazing job with the audio, taking the creepiness to a whole new level.
